ABOUT US
PhoenixWorks Films is an independent film production company founded in 2016 by filmmaker Victor De Almeida. Operating under the wider umbrella of PhoenixWorks Media Group, the company forms part of a growing network of creative ventures alongside PRIFF UK, the PRIFF Short Film Fund and Seal Street Books.
Established with a focus on bold visual storytelling and emotionally resonant filmmaking, PhoenixWorks Films began as a grassroots independent production company dedicated to developing ambitious projects outside of traditional industry structures. Since its inception, the company has evolved into a collaborative creative platform working across narrative film, festival programming, publishing and emerging media.
Over the past decade, PhoenixWorks Films has produced and supported a growing slate of short films from both in-house and emerging filmmakers, including works directed and produced by Victor De Almeida, Ewa Habdas, Dario Bocchinni and Lyud Hristov.
Collectively, these projects have screened at more than seventy international film festivals and received multiple awards and nominations across categories including Best Film, Best Cinematography, Best Horror, Best Experimental Film and Screenwriting.
Today, PhoenixWorks Films is entering a new phase of expansion. Alongside its continued commitment to independent short filmmaking, the company is actively developing feature film projects, scripted digital content, fan-led web series, literary adaptations and visually ambitious genre work aimed at both online and theatrical audiences.
At its core, PhoenixWorks Films remains committed to championing independent voices, cinematic storytelling and creatively daring work capable of connecting with audiences long after the credits roll.
